Description

The Ekyrail Roof-Mounted HVAC System is engineered specifically for the demanding conditions of locomotive operations, providing dependable cooling performance and long-term durability. Built around a fully redundant dual-circuit architecture, the system ensures continued climate control even in the event of a compressor or refrigeration circuit failure.

Each refrigeration circuit operates independently with its own compressor and condenser fan, maximizing reliability and reducing operational downtime. The unit also incorporates fully integrated Ekyrail inverters, allowing optimized compressor and fan control while simplifying electrical integration.

Designed with retrofit flexibility in mind, the HVAC system is compatible with virtually any rooftop locomotive HVAC configuration without requiring major structural modifications. Its stainless-steel structural frame ensures excellent corrosion resistance, while the fiberglass interior panel provides a clean and durable cab finish with rounded edges to improve crew safety.
