Description

The Ekyrail AESS Optimizer System is designed to enhance the performance of locomotive Automatic Engine Start Stop (AESS) systems. By offloading electrical loads from the locomotive’s main batteries when the engine is shut down, the system significantly reduces battery discharge and prevents unnecessary engine restarts caused by low voltage conditions.

The system incorporates a LiFePO4 auxiliary battery and electronic control module that maintains stable voltage for essential onboard equipment during idle periods. It also eliminates short voltage drops that can occur during engine cranking, ensuring critical systems remain operational throughout the startup process.

Designed for demanding railway environments, the AESS Optimizer integrates seamlessly into locomotive electrical systems and provides reliable performance with minimal maintenance requirements.
