Description

The Ekyrail Automated Cable Test System (ACTS) is designed to provide rail maintenance facilities with a reliable and repeatable method for qualifying MU 27-pin jumper cables before returning them to service. The system automatically scans all conductor combinations to detect wiring faults, dielectric leakage, and grounding problems.

Using an integrated PC with user-friendly software, the tester guides operators through the testing process and displays results in an easy-to-read interface. A rapid pre-scan test can verify a functional cable in under two minutes, while the system’s advanced Deep-Scan feature automatically identifies specific pin failures when insulation breakdown is detected.

The system records and stores all test results, allowing shops to maintain traceability and generate test reports. Designed for shop environments, the ACTS provides a powerful and efficient solution for maintaining the reliability of locomotive MU cables.
